Down for 19 East!

I know I was raving about it last week, but Frustrated Sosyalera (FS) and the guys have decided not to go to the Cream Halloween Party last Thursday due to insufficient wallet balances and ended up going somewhere else that night.

Guess I've had too much fun as I ended up nursing the mother-of-all-hangovers the next day.

HOWEVER, that did not stop us from going out again on Halloween night for another night-cap. But as nearly all the bars in the Metro are full of revelers in fancy dress, we opted to go somewhere a little bit more quiet.

A friend of ours from the band Silent Sanctuary had a gig at 19 East Bar & Grill in Sucat, so we decided to check the place out. Knowing that Anjo is dressed up as Super Mario helped somewhat. Hehe.

Mr Mario on the look-out for his mushroom na pampalaki. Hehe.
Shush. It's a lousy picture. I know, ok?

This will be a fairly shitty review as I wasn't at all in the mood to observe, having just gotten rid of that blurdy hangover at 7pm. I can't tell you how to get there as well as I've lost all sense of direction after crossing the Bicutan Exit. Hehehe!

It's quite a bit out of the way for those living in the center of Metro Manila, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that there's a place like this just on the outskirts where you can relax, have a drink, enjoy the music and play billiards.

The 19 East Music hall is where it's at, yo. *snigger*

There's a lovely fountain in the middle of the grounds. 19 East looks like the sort of place girls celebrate their debut parties in -- it has a very relaxing resort ambience. Sooooo nice, I'm telling you.

However, if you're the type of person that likes to people-watch, you won't get that here. I don't know if it's coincidental, but there's hardly anybody there when we arrived.

Or they're all just probably inside the Music Hall. The billiards tables are outside, you see, and that's where we wanted to be.

I can't tell you how much to play in a table is, ok? Hahaha.

He's got 2 faces, geddit? Hahaha! (I'm so lame.)

Still getting the hang of using this camera. Won't be long now, I assure y'all.
Umm... I think the bf looks wasted on this photo. *wince*

This is us trying to be clever thinking that we could take a photo of ourselves taking photos of each other (you follow that?).

Horrible. Abso-flippin-lutely horrible.

The bf is claiming that there's a new trend in taking photos -- you shoot with the camera aligned to your hip, held only by ONE HAND.

I don't think that works very well as you can't see what you're taking a photo of. Pfttt.

But, I do think he managed well on this one. Bravo! Me likey! XD

In the end, I think I've spent between Php 300-400 on drinks and food. The menu consists of all the common Pinoy barchows and dishes like sisig, fish crackers, onion rings, etc. It's quite reasonably priced.

19 East Bar & Grill is located at KM 19 East Service Rd, Sucat, ParaƱaque City.
