Oh Hayden, Hayden.

Our ickle Heroes cheerleader is all grown up and making music videos!

Hmmmm...

Hmmmm (some more)...

I don't know what to make of it, to be quite frank. Is it reggae? RnB perhaps? That short rap near the end didn't really do it for me. It was TERRIBLE.

I was cringing the whole time I watched the video, no wait -- I was reviled.

Hayden Panettiere should have stuck to acting. I like her, she's very classy and knows how to carry herself well but this is a bit much. She's spreading herself too thin and might become another Hilary Duff.

Which reminds me...

Whatever the heck happened to Hilary Duff???

Oui! Oui! Belle de Jour!

Folks, it's that time of the year again when all sorts of calendars, diaries and journals come flooding our local bookstores. Even fastfood chains, boutiques and coffee shops don't spare us from attempting to help us get our shit together.

I don't particularly mind this, as I am a planner freak. I absolutely LOVE quirky planners and notebooks. I actually use 3 planners simultaneously this year -- one for work, one for journalling and one for keeping track of what I lose my money for. Yeah, I hear you. I'm just a teensy weensy bit obssessed.

That doesn't necessarily mean that I'm a good planner, nor have excellent time-management skills. Nor does it mean that I'm a control freak. I'm still as disorganised as one can be. I just have a really poor memory.

While everyone else will still be looking for the perfect planner for next year, I already know one that I do want to have --

The Belle de Jour 2009 Power Planner is the ultimate planner for women who want to live the IT Girl lifestyle and will be available starting next week.

As Frustrated Sosyalera is aiming to be an IT Girl, this is perrrrrfect! I currently use the BDJ 2008 Planner for work and it is really very good. Just in case you're wondering, the term "Belle de Jour" simply means "IT Girl" in French.

Sample 2009 diary page

With the 2009 planner, you will have all the time management-based tools, pages, lists to help you manage your priorities. To guide you to living out a fabulous year, you have a planner complete with affirmations, articles on beauty, time management, health, beauty, travel, career tips and more!

And don't forget the coupons from all these fabulous brands: Ace
Water Spa, Aldo, All Flip Flops/ Havaianas, Azta Urban Salon, Bizu, BYSI, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, Celine, Charles and Keith, Chocolate Clothing, CMG, Crossings The Ramp, Cupcakes by Sonja, David & Goliath, Esprit, Flojos, FlyShades, Folded and Hung, ForMe, Fox, Freeway, Garnier, Gmask/ The White Hat, Guinot, Heaven and Eggs, I Love Cocco, Iora, Jelly Bean, Karimadon, Kashieca, La Senza, Le Donne, Maybelline, Memo, Penshoppe, Philosophy by Mikaela, Promod, RedBox Karaoke, Schu, Seventeen (Cinderella), Shujikida Salon, So Fab!, Suesh Brushes, The Face Shop, The Natural Source, Timex, and Wade!

Sample article and coupons.

This means that us lucky, lucky ladies will have at least Php 1,000 worth of freebies and around Php 10,000 worth of discounts! If that doesn't convince you, I don't know what will.

The Belle de Jour 2009 Power Planner is available from Php 598 -- and I think it's worth the price considering all the stuff you get with it.

Down for 19 East!

I know I was raving about it last week, but Frustrated Sosyalera (FS) and the guys have decided not to go to the Cream Halloween Party last Thursday due to insufficient wallet balances and ended up going somewhere else that night.

Guess I've had too much fun as I ended up nursing the mother-of-all-hangovers the next day.

HOWEVER, that did not stop us from going out again on Halloween night for another night-cap. But as nearly all the bars in the Metro are full of revelers in fancy dress, we opted to go somewhere a little bit more quiet.

A friend of ours from the band Silent Sanctuary had a gig at 19 East Bar & Grill in Sucat, so we decided to check the place out. Knowing that Anjo is dressed up as Super Mario helped somewhat. Hehe.

Mr Mario on the look-out for his mushroom na pampalaki. Hehe.
Shush. It's a lousy picture. I know, ok?

This will be a fairly shitty review as I wasn't at all in the mood to observe, having just gotten rid of that blurdy hangover at 7pm. I can't tell you how to get there as well as I've lost all sense of direction after crossing the Bicutan Exit. Hehehe!

It's quite a bit out of the way for those living in the center of Metro Manila, but I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that there's a place like this just on the outskirts where you can relax, have a drink, enjoy the music and play billiards.

The 19 East Music hall is where it's at, yo. *snigger*

There's a lovely fountain in the middle of the grounds. 19 East looks like the sort of place girls celebrate their debut parties in -- it has a very relaxing resort ambience. Sooooo nice, I'm telling you.

However, if you're the type of person that likes to people-watch, you won't get that here. I don't know if it's coincidental, but there's hardly anybody there when we arrived.

Or they're all just probably inside the Music Hall. The billiards tables are outside, you see, and that's where we wanted to be.

I can't tell you how much to play in a table is, ok? Hahaha.

Couple shot #1

Couple shot #2

Couple shot #3
He's got 2 faces, geddit? Hahaha! (I'm so lame.)

Still getting the hang of using this camera. Won't be long now, I assure y'all.
Umm... I think the bf looks wasted on this photo. *wince*

This is us trying to be clever thinking that we could take a photo of ourselves taking photos of each other (you follow that?).

Horrible. Abso-flippin-lutely horrible.

The bf is claiming that there's a new trend in taking photos -- you shoot with the camera aligned to your hip, held only by ONE HAND.

I don't think that works very well as you can't see what you're taking a photo of. Pfttt.

But, I do think he managed well on this one. Bravo! Me likey! XD

In the end, I think I've spent between Php 300-400 on drinks and food. The menu consists of all the common Pinoy barchows and dishes like sisig, fish crackers, onion rings, etc. It's quite reasonably priced.

19 East Bar & Grill is located at KM 19 East Service Rd, Sucat, ParaƱaque City.
