Corregidor Inn & Middleside Barracks

Frustrated Sosyalera has somewhat made it her personal mission to show the world how awesome Corregidor Island is, and that's why this series of posts on it seem never ending! She just went on a day tour, but ended up taking hundreds of photos to document it and it would be a waste not to share with everyone.





As the tour is a worry-free one, even lunch is part of the trip. So after the Malinta Tunnel experience, we headed to Corregidor Inn for munchies.






It's the ONLY hotel in the island, so if you're being picky there's nowhere else to go.






The food is... well... how it looks.






But you will get stunning views. *sigh*




Lunch is strictly only an hour because there's loads more to see, so don't expect to linger too long by the balcony.






Next stop: Middleside Barracks

Middleside Barracks is called that because it's situated in the middleside part of the island. If you're thinking 'how unimaginative' then don't -- because we're talking about the military here. hehehe.






Here I was claiming I've made a ghost-friend because I hadn't seen any since we've started the tour. My advice is don't expect to see one either (unless you're staying overnight -- which I'm not prepared to do just yet!)

Stephen King says Stephenie Meyer Sucks

... and I agree!

I've read the story on OMG, where Stephen King says that Stephenie Meyer "can't write worth a darn."

I'm so sorry if this'll hurt all the Twilight fans out there, but Stephen King is my favourite author of all time and I'm ecstatic to have this tiny speck of affinity with him.




And I've said it before myself that that I've never really bothered with Twilight (novels or the movie) because I thought they are terribly cheesy and juvenile.

I don't care if you don't agree.

So much snow

I've heard on the news that there has been a lot of snow in the UK recently and I wasn't really bothered being out here in the tropics (although, was just looking out the window and it's quite gloomy today).

For the uninformed, I have lived with my Aunt & Uncle in England for a while and you could say it's my second home (which is the reason for this post).

The Uncle sent photos of our house today and I was dumbfounded when I saw it.



I didn't even recognise our front lawn! There should be a fishpond underneath the hedge straight ahead, so I'm worried about the kois...




And this is the back yard. Looks like the snow should be up to the middle of my shins. Sheesh. It's apparently the worst snowfall the country has had in 20 years. Imagine that.






I'm not quite sure if I should be happy or sad to not have seen this for myself.
