It had been a long day, 7th of May.
I was getting ready for bed and when to the toilet for a quick shower.
But before that quick shower, I had decided that I wanted to clean the bathroom first. I scrubbed the floors, splashed it with water, and when I was done, I went ahead towards the bathtub.
And whaddya know, I slipped AGAIN!
But this time, I fell on top of the side of the bathtub – my body was half in and half out. Did it hurt? Let’s put it this way: if I had balls, I don’t think I would have been able to walk for days.
Man, that fall was brutal. My upper left chest and left thigh hit the bathtub hard. Wonder if I can get breast cancer because of that? Sorry, stupid question.
What have I got to show for it? I have TWO bruises, as big as my hand, on my left thigh. Looks like I’ll be wearing trousers for the next two weeks. If my folks at home saw these, they’d think my hulk of a boyfriend mauled me during a nonexistent lovers’ spat. Can’t risk that.
Does anybody know how I can get rid of these quickly?
My legs aren't pretty, but I don't want to make them look like I've been mauled by a wild beast. Pfttt.
Now, if only I wasn’t gonna go to Boracay on Friday. Isn’t that just swell? Maybe I’ll just get myself some scuba gear instead of a swim suit and pretend that I’m gonna go diving and not just laze around the shore for 3 days.
“Emong,” ah-heyt-choooooooo! *points fist to the sky*

May 9, 2009 at 5:56 PMOuch!! A bruise is a collection of broken blood vessels under the skin so there is no way to get rid of them quickly. There are some great makeup tips that may help hide the bruises though...you may want to check them out by googleing it. (But if you plan to get wet, I don't know)

May 9, 2009 at 8:31 PMi've heard of that! i might have a look at the pharmacy tomoz. hehehe. thank goodness i didn't break anything, tho. but bruises are the last thing you wanna sport in a beach trip. pfttt.

not sure if waterproof concealer has been invented, but i'll check the tips out. thanks!
ouch! looks like you had one hell of a day.. those bruises are deep! i've had quite a few sports injuries from when i used to play football (american) and basketball.. anytime you get a bruise, its important to ice it and bandage it tightly right away because it will lessen the amount of blood that leaks into the injured tissue.. thats what causes the discoloration.. seeing as your bruise has formed, there are a couple things you can try to help it heal faster.. use a heating pad, warm compress, or something similar to heat the bruised area.. u can also try a hot water bottle with a towel. since the blood has kinda collected in that area, heating it will allow your vessels to dilate which will improve circulation and should facilitate the clearing up of the discoloration.
May 9, 2009 at 9:49 PMnow, if you are a believer in home remedies, i've heard that applying regular distilled vinegar with a cotton ball to the area helps lessen the appearance of your bruise.. my boy tried this when he got a black eye and it was gone fast!
cant verify if the vinegar works but the heating pad has worked for me. good luck! oh and if you decide to do the scuba-gear-all-day thing, i'd love to see the pictures of your hand tan from where the suit ends on your wrist lol :) cant wait to see the boracay pix!
ok back for more.. was talking to my friend online and he said he used APPLE CIDER VINEGAR on his bruised/swolen ankle and it was gone the next day! not trying to give you false hope, but i looked it up online per his instruction... just search "apple cider vinegar bruise"... GOOD LUCK!
