When I mentioned the Sonic Boom Anniversary thing last week, I wasn't really certain if I was going or not. I managed to get my friends to show up, though!
It was a night of good music, booze and fun with friends!
Franco - Touch the Sky
Franco - Castaway

I do have a couple things to complain about, though. Expensive door charge at P350 for a lousy plastic cup of beer? Come onnnnn. Granted, the ticket was supposed to be for TWO cups, but it seems they ran out? Not entirely sure. Plus, Whitespace was totally out of the way -- too bad for commuters.
More mindless movie fun this week as Vampires Suck come out! The trailer was hilarious, so I probably won't have to try very hard to convince friends to watch this one. Compared to asking people to watch the Twilight Saga, this should be a piece of cake.
Starring: Matt Lanter, Chris Riggi, Ken Jeong, Jenn Proske
Synopsis: A spoof of vampire-themed movies. (How profound!!! -Emz)
Great week for music, though!

Sometimes, you have too much fun living that one forgets to write about it. When will I stop making excuses for my blogging delinquency? I don’t have a clue. If you really want a daily dose of my nonsense, follow me on Twitter via Sosyaleraquips.
It’s such a pity that I can’t tell you guys everything that’s been going on, but such is life! I’m still a private person, after all.
I didn’t write about the new movies this week because, well, they are lamer than last week’s movies! I’m a reasonable appreciator of (some) mindless flicks, but I’m really not inclined to see either Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore or Ip Man 2. Splice has great reviews, though, but I think I’ll just wait for the DVD.
Who has seen The Expendables? It has got really rubbish reviews, but I really enjoyed it! It’s an all-star cast of elderly action stars and brings back memories of all the old action movies we’ve seen throughout the 90’s. There’s an action movie cliché every minute and the script isn’t worth a darn, but by golly all the stunts and explosions got me laughing all the way!
Look Ma, I'm running! Now where did I put my hypertension pills?
They really, really, really shouldn't have let Stallone take his shirt off.
I think it's a sad week for movies. Reviews for both Grown Ups and Expendables are less than stellar. But we like mindless movies sometimes, right? They can't all be good. Both movies are star-studded affairs, but star quality isn't enough to get a movie going sometimes.
Starring: Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, Rob Schneider
Synopsis: Thirty years after their high school graduation, five good friends reunite for a Fourth of July holiday weekend.
Starring: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews
Synopsis: THE EXPENDABLES is a hard-hitting action/thriller about a group of mercenaries hired to infiltrate a South American country and overthrow its ruthless dictator. Written, directed by and starring Sylvester Stallone, THE EXPENDABLES brings together a dynamic cast including Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, Terry Crews and Mickey Rourke.
I don't really know how it happened, but I somehow made it into somebody's list of hot bloggers. Is that roaring laughter I can hear out there?!? I do smell something though... some kind of shit, I know. Hahaha! Don't get me wrong, I'm very flattered, but being considered hot by somebody is just something I'm not used to.
But, I would like to return Marvin a favour by sending you guys to his blog (as if I have a following, but never mind that). Click here or on the photo below to see it.
Honestly, I think the other girls are wayyyy hotter.
Would you believe me if I tell you that I paid him to put me in that list? Harhar!
Whoa, I'm posting something personal for a change! This is old news for most of my friends, but I've moved back into the family home several weeks ago. Don't ask why, it's a long story that I don't really want to get into. Moving back has opened a whole new chapter to my so-called life.
So this little guy, my dad's day-old chick, has something in common with me.
Moving all the stuff I had accumulated for five years outside the family home is a great feat -- it took a large suitcase, 2 balikbayan boxes and a couple of large paper bags.
My room looked like a right mess in the process. This wasn't even half of it. I keep forgetting to take photos recently. Sheesh.
And because I had too much apartment stuff, I had to make room. Thank goodness for Japan Home Center!!!
I got this cool multiple bag holder from the store and of course, like everything in the shop, it only cost me Php 85! Woot!
More on my "new" home life on my next update. I sense that's going to be soon. ^_^
It seems like it will be a quiet week. I hadn't heard of The Ghost Writer before, but it has a really fresh 84% rating on RottenTomatoes.com, so maybe it's worth a look-see. I don't suppose the fact that it was directed by Roman Polanski of The Pianist is another good reason to watch it?
The Ghost Writer
Starring: Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Kim Cattrall, Olivia Adams
Synopsis: A writer has been tasked with completing the memoirs of a former UK prime minister. As he digs into the life of his subject, he discovers sensitive secrets that soon put his life in danger.
