It’s not very obvious, but I’m not so much a traveler than I am a nomad. Yes, I do enjoy going to lots of different places, but it’s never enough for me to just visit. I prefer to be given the chance to live in those places and see what it’s like from a resident’s perspective.
It’s all very well if I manage to find myself a cheap place to stay in, but if not, I have no other option except to trawl the vast universe of the internet to find hotels deals.
How do I decide on which places to transplant myself in? Usually, I get my ideas off watching movies or television series. For example, I’ve been really into the television series called Fringe, recently, which is set in Boston, Massachusetts. I like places with old architecture, so seeing bits of the city while watching the episodes and finding out that the city had these kinds of buildings that I like really got me interested. If I’m serious enough about going, then I check online for cheap flights and Boston hotel deals. It’s all very simple, really. Now, all I need to worry about is actually being able to afford the darn trip!
