Es tu historia (Ito ang istorya mo) -- Pelicula /Pelikula 2008

It's one of my favourite times of the year again -- Pelicula season!

Pelicula /Pelikula is organised by Instituto Cervantes Manila and is a showcase of films from Spain and Latin America. This year is the 7th time it has been done. It is scheduled to run from 1-12 October and screenings will be at Greenbelt 3 in Makati. The films are in Spanish and are shown with English subtitles. It's not for everyone, I know, but it sure beats the rubbish that's being shown in the cinemas lately (hello, Bangkok Dangerous).

Now you may ask why the hell am I raving about this???

It's simple. The movie tickets are dirt cheap at P65! Where can you watch a film at that price nowadays , huh? Pirated DVDs don't count.

Manganise your fez!

I keep seeing this thing in my multiply, my Yahoo Messenger, Facebook, you name it. Everyone has cartoonised their faces! Sorry, that's the wrong word -- Japanese-comicked (in short "Manga") themselves.

The gaya-gaya in me urged me to do it. I wanna see for myself how my face will turn out when I try it.

So I'm a lemming. Who the hell cares?!

Ang Pirated DVD /Download Queen - ako yun!

Grabeh, ang tagal kong nag-hiatus ah! Hahaha!

Ano ba nangyare?!? Well first off, my boss arrived from the UK and messed about for a month.

Then, I re-discovered the joy of watching television / DVDs.

Wanna know what I've been wasting my time on? I'm warning you, I watch a lot of rubbish. Walang pakealaman ng trip ha!

I now declare myself the Pirated DVD /Download Queen!

Kumusta naman to? Oldskool di ba? Hehe! Aba, nakakita ako ng Tagalog version kaya go na to! Ayoko atang magbasa the whole time noh. Keri na kahit malabo ang screencaps, at least naintindihan ko. Wahehehe!

So ano naman tingin ko sa kanya? Hmm.. mukha talagang binatilyo ang bida dito (a.k.a. "Andy"). Napagkamalan kasing lalake ni Arthur (ang mayamang loko na love interest) si Andy (na babae naman talaga, mukha nga lang tibo) kaya yun ang nagpakumplika sa lahat nung na-inlablablab na ang tomboy sa mayamang loko.

Nakakatuwa siya, infernez. Nakakatawa ang translation kse nga medyo in-edit para mag-suit sa manunuod na mga Pinoy.

Medyo bumaduy nga lang nung nabuko nang babae si Andy -- shempreh kasi wala nang thrill noh.
