Tsokolate-Ah at the Manila Peninsula

Death by chocolate, anyone?

I once wondered what it would have been like to swim in a chocolate river a la Willy Wonka & the Chocolate factory. I lived near the Goya candy factory in Marikina and thought the water tank I could see from outside was a real Boom-Boom Lollipop with lots of chocolate inside.

After experiencing Tsokolate-Ah at The Lobby, Manila Peninsula in Makati last week, I think I've gotten close to what it would've felt like to drown in chocolate.


The chocolate buffet is open from 9pm to 12mn on Fridays & Saturdays at The Lobby and the wallet damage is Php 550.



You can order just water, of course, but to fully enjoy the experience you might as well have dinner there before the buffet, which starts at something like Php 850, including the buffet.

I am very, very sad to realise that I couldn't try everything!

There was just too many of them and all of them are absolutely divine!

I had to drink latte to counter the sweetness.

I'm in chocolate heaven.

I am pathetic. After that first plate, this is what happened. I could not eat any more, even if all the cells in my body wanted to.

It was enough for me to just look at them.

Chocolates, chocolates, chocolates...

Unfortunately, I had to surrender. I was on the verge of throwing up and I was hyper then I crashed and gotten confused and GAAAARRRRHHHH!!!

Ok, I just went loopy there. Sorry.



After that sugar high, guess where we went afterwards?

Yup.
