57 channels and nothing on

Back in the day, we were all content to watch TV with only 6 syndicated channels.
Then companies started using the UHF signals, so our happiness had become a little complicated to satisfy. I hardly watch the free channels anymore and I do not believe I will survive without getting my dose of HBO or Crime & Investigation channel. I can’t wait until the satellite TV services catch on, though, because some cable services here don’t want to share their AXN or Star channels with other providers, which sucks big time. When that happens, it’d be great to be able to compare service promotions like Kaptainsatellite does with Direct tv and Dish.

In a flash of light

Where did my weekend go???

I feel like it had come and gone in a blur and I'm left with dozens of photos singing in a karaoke bar!!

Yesterday was good -- I met lots of really nice bloggers and was inspired by those who won the votes. I felt really good about being able to survive in an event without knowing a soul. The thought of it was so alien to me before. People have been so nice though, so I really had a good time. I left my camera at the reception, so no pictures. Sorry (again).

What's bizarre, though, is how I ended up going to the same KTV place for TWO nights in a row. I was there belting up to 3am with friends last Friday and hadn't realised that another set of friends had decided to go to the same place on Saturday.

The whole thing makes me think of going professional and set up a band or something (yeah, right).

The anti-social will take leave

When I wrote the post about the emerging influential internet people, I hadn't really decided yet if I wanted to show up for the awarding ceremony. It's some kind of voting process, so I don't exactly know who the official top 10 were.

So when I've finally decided I'll be going, I don't have anybody to go with me -- and it's tonight!!!

I always bully The BF for things like this, but he's already got a thing, so I'm stuck.

I'm impossibly shy, almost debilitating. This event had suddenly become really scary for me. I have no party skills whatsoever that I can count on in times like this.

But I'm still gonna try! Conquer your fear, right???

*panicking*

Wish me lots and lots and lots of luck!

(Yeah, there's nothing else to do in my bedroom but camwhore.)

Tyra Banks' little known talent

Yesterday was a public holiday to honour Former President Aquino and her funeral. I went to work, though, and was actually quite busy -- I was totally bummed that I couldn't watch any of the funeral parade footage on television. Who would've thought I had been secretly keeping all these tender feelings for democracy underneath my politically apathetic exterior (whoa, that was deep) all these years?

I digress, however, because what I really meant to say today is --

I really admire Tyra Banks.

She's gorgeous... smart...

... funny... entrepreneurial (has her own talk show and produces LOADS of other shows)...

But I didn't realise...

Is that she's also SCARY!!!!

Tyra, don't give me nightmares, please!!!
