Ha! Just when you thought they're over, here I am again with my Guam trip photos! Mwahahahah!!!
I've been sifting through my photos and completely forgot about one of Guam's main tourist attraction -- Two Lovers Point.
If you've read my Ipao Beach entry, you would've actually seen Two Lovers Point in one of the photos.
It's that tip of the cliff.
Legend has it that two native lovers jumped from this cliff because a Spaniard wanted to marry the woman.
I know, cheesy story. Hehe! It's the place to get the best view of the island, though.
Despite the tragic story, hundreds of couples decide to get marry here. A little morbid, if you ask me -- but whatever floats your boat, right?
The sea is amazingly blue on that day. Quite nice, actually. ^_^
And there's this wall that sort of tells the short story... like a Stations of the Cross. hehehe
The highlight of the trip up to Two Lovers Point is this fence. You apparently hang a little padlock here with your boyfriend or girlfriend and your love will last forever (apparently).
We didn't do that, though.
It would've been a good idea, but I noticed that the locks were all the same. They were sold in the shop downstairs. I've also noticed that someone must be taking off of the locks on a regular basis. Otherwise, the fence would've gotten too crowded by now... but wasn't that the idea? For all I know, those used locks have been recycled and sold again in the shop downstairs. Tsk.
