Have you ever needed to go to a wake and then had to attend a party after? If you have, then you would've understood my predicament.
I needed to regularly go to a wake recently, but one night, I had to go to some kind of get together after. There was no choice, because my friend had come home from working abroad, was only going to be here for several days and that was her only free night.
So how do you dress up to go to a wake, but intend to go to a party after? Your dress should be respectable and fun at the same time.
How do you do that, EXACTLY?
I solved it by raiding my sister's closet.
Honestly, the length of this dress is borderline disrespectful for a wake and the sleeves are definitely not suited for a night out on the town, but what the heck.
Any ideas on how I could've pulled this off better?

hmmm.. when you're about to go to the party, just put on a big belt so it can highlight your waistline ;P
